The National Association of Emergency and Fire Officials (NAEFO) is joining forces with the American Association of Special Districts (AASD) to co-host America’s Emergency Services & Public Safety Districts Summit as a component of the first-ever Northern Special Districts Governance Summit.

Join fellow directors, chiefs, managers, and staff of special districts providing emergency services in their communities on Thursday, July 24, in Fargo, N.D., for a focused session on trending governance and policy issues impacting America’s fire protection, ambulance, and 911 communications districts.

Session topics specific to emergency services districts will range from a roundtable policy discussion to procurement needs to a conversation on how state emergency district associations are working to tackle the legislative and professional challenges facing their members.

NAEFO will partner on Emergency Services Summit, which will lead into general session topics that apply to the broader spectrum of special district services. The Northern Summit general session program begins Thursday mid-afternoon., July 24, and ends Friday afternoon, July 25, where fire protection and ambulance services, as well as park and recreation, healthcare, irrigation, water supply, wastewater, conservation, and others will have the opportunity to hear professional perspectives for district leaders on board-manager relationships, how intergovernmental collaboration can lead to success for district services, tips and tools for community engagement, governance ethics, and much more.
