Helping Elected Fire Officials with their Local and National Issues
The National Association of Elected Fire Officials is a non-profit organization made up of dedicated elected fire officials and their state organizations as well as fire departments, fire districts, and other individuals or organizations affiliated with the fire service.

Our Mission 
Our primary purpose is to represent and inform elected officials of national issues and provide assistance to state associations. The Association's Vision Statement is:

"The National Association of Elected Fire Officials is a forward thinking national organization that speaks with a unified voice for all elected fire officials for the purpose of influencing policies, regulations and legislation relating to the fire service."

Association Profile
NAEFO was formed in 2001 by the state associations of Oregon, Washington, California and Montana. Today, the NAEFO Board of Directors consists of representatives from the Oregon and Washington state association members as well as a representative from the individual, elected official members.
